Ok, are these not the two cutest kids there ever were? All bias aside, (or at least some of it) we are so proud of these guys and thought you’d want to know a little about them too.
Our daughter Amelia is 5 years old and is embarking on her kindergarten journey this fall. She has been so ready for school and cannot wait to be in mom’s kindergarten class! This is one independent and strong girl. She loves to laugh, dance, sing, and hold BABIES! She’s going to be such a great mom someday. One of her favorite things to do is put on dancing shows for the family which usually include an extravagant outfit (put together by none other than herself) and hiding behind the curtains before she makes her appearance.
Warren is 3 and according to everyone we’ve ever met, looks exactly like his mom and acts just like his dad….that could be a dangerous combination. Anyway, he is super active (like all boys his age) but also very social and friendly. I know this next part may not last forever but right now, he is a big time momma’s boy. Although he is wild and unkempt at times, he has a super soft side which is never apart from his silliness. At the moment, he is really excited about learning how to crack an egg as well as his new favorite jump-twist off the coffee table onto the couch.
They wanted to contribute something too so I asked them each some questions and here is what they came up with:
What is your favorite color?
Amelia: Pink and purple and silver and gold.
Warren: Blue and yellow.
What do you like about our family?
Amelia: I like that it’s nice and sweet and that it makes good food and we go to the lake and on dates.
Warren: I like that they take us out to lunch and they give me kisses and let me play with crayons.
What’s you’re favorite thing mom cooks?
What do you think we should do with the property?
Amelia: I think every day when it’s summer I want to make apple pies and fruit stuff.
Warren: We should get it more fuzzy and cut all of the grass down. I like that you guys let us get apples and plumbs there.
What do you like about Dad?
Amelia: I like that he loves us and he gives us treats if we be good sometimes but not all the time because that’s wasting and that’s too much sugar.
Warren: I like that he takes me and has only boy time sometimes. I like that he takes me out to restaurants when you are at work.
What do you like about Mom?
Amelia: I like that she is sweet and kind. She’s a loving girl.
Warren: I like that she takes us special places like Starbucks to get chocolate milk. I like that she sings me old fashioned songs when I go to bed. I don’t like her to make me soup.
What’s the best thing about you?
Amelia: I like that I’m sweet and kind and I eat whatever mom makes. When I eat something that you make it makes me happy because then that means that I’m listening.
Warren: My best thing is taking naps.
What’s the best thing about Warren?
Amelia: I like that he doesn’t throw fits sometimes.
What’s the best thing about Amelia?
Warren: I like that she sings to me.
Anything else you’d like to say about yourself?
Amelia: I’m a good listener sometimes and I have dollies that I always play with but one is really special. This property is really fun! I love it and it’s in my heart. I like that it has apple trees, plumb trees and pear trees because that means we’re gonna have a lot of fruit. I like it and I like how my life is.
