Christmas Gift Guide

December 6, 2018

Happy Christmas everyone! I am so excited to share this special Christmas Gift Guide full of so many of my absolute favorite Instagram shops. Shopping small is something I love to do, especially during Christmas time. I love receiving a package from a small business, all wrapped up pretty with such special attention paid to all of the details and knowing I’m supporting real families that love what they do. This Gift Guide had been in the works for a while now and I’m finally ready to share! Scroll through and click on any photo to be linked to the shop. Keep your eye out for some discount codes along the way too. Happy Christmas shopping and thank you for supporting small businesses this season.

  Fin and Vince

Fin and Vince has been one of those shops you see on Instagram and just instantly fall in love with. Their baby and children’s clothing are so timeless and luxurious and they are easily going to become keepsakes. You know when you buy special clothes for your kids that you just can’t part with even though they’ve grown out of them? That’s how I feel about Fin and Vince. I hope that one day my grandkids will be wearing these sweet pieces and they’ll stay in the family! Oh and they have some beautiful pieces for women too. Keep an eye out on my feed for pictures of my kids in these sweet outfits after Christmas.

Decrate Shop

Another shop I’ve loved for a long time is Decrate Shop. They make these stunning amber bottles for your soap and shampoo. I love how just changing out your soap dispenser can honestly change the feel of your kitchen or bathroom and it’s so simply and easy! Recently they’ve come out with more styles and designs in clear glass and black! I’m a sucker for these originals though. These also make the perfect gift for literally anybody since they’re so neutral and everyone uses soap, right? Head over to their shop to see the other new styles too! Use code HOMEGROWNAPPLE for 10% off your order!

Little Cottonwood

Oh Little Cottonwood! You steal our hearts every time. I am loving the fun yet still neutral prints they came out with for their fall/winter collection this year. Not to mention the sweet women’s line. It’s just my favorite. So sweet and neutral and I love their prices too! These kids and women’s pieces make great gifts but let’s be honest…..sometimes we need to grab something for ourselves in the midst of all this holiday shopping too right? They also carry the sweetest wooden toys so if you haven’t seen their shop, head on over! Here are a few pieces we’ve grabbed recently.

Damn Good Face Wash

Damn Good Face Wash is just that! Damn Good! I’ve been using these products for over a year now and I’m still so pleased with them. I had been in the market for a more natural approach to my skincare regimen and this ended up being exactly what I was looking for. If you have anyone in your life that loves using natural products and pampering themselves, this is the perfect gift for them! Use code HOMEGROWNAPPLE to save 20% on your purchase from her Etsy shop!

Fringe Supply Company

If you have a knitter on your Christmas list, there is no other place to look than Fringe Supply! They have all the tools and notions you’d ever need but only the best. Their canvas knit bags are an absolute must for any knitter. These bags are super sturdy yet still soft and moldable. I love all the compartments for needles, scissors and anything else you could want. Even if you’re not a knitter and just need a great versatile bag or gift idea for someone on your list, these bags would be divine. I also have one of the smaller Field Bags and I love both bags equally. The butterscotch bag is a larger one called the Porter Project Bin that holds it’s shape better for big projects like sweaters or for multiple projects! The smaller field bag is just my go-to bag for all smaller projects.

Shop ARQ

If you’re like me, you love to give your kiddos some sweet undies for Christmas. They always need them and still get super excited about opening new underwear on Christmas morning. This year I decided to get them some of these pretty undies and tops from ARQ. I love these neutral yet colorful pieces and I even got some for myself. These pieces bring classic nostalgia mixed with high quality fabrics and are super durable for your little ones to wear for play! Their sustainable pledge inspires me and I completely agree with their focus on less items that are better quality. That’s what we strive for in our household too!

Fable Soap Co

My favorite soap company of all time is Fable Soap Co. I have known the owner of this beautiful business since our high school days and have loved watching her grow this business into what it is today. Her soaps, candles and other products are made by hand with all natural and sustainable ingredients right here in southern California. She has a wide range of amazing products for hair, skin and body and I love the peace of mind I have using them and knowing what’s inside! Use code homegrownapple to get 10% off your order and grab a few of these lovely soaps for stocking stuffers or any of her other products as thoughtful gifts this Christmas!

From Thailand with Love

I’m very proud to be working with this sweet company, From Thailand with Love. This artisan made shop provides fare market wage jobs to people in Thailand while helping spread the Gospel of Jesus and supporting local pastors! All while bringing us beautiful handmade goods at reasonable prices. They have so many beautiful wooden goods as well as some amazing new throw pillows recently added to the shop. Anything from this thoughtfully curated shop would make a perfect gift for someone who has everything but loves well made items! Use code AIMEE for 25% off the entire shop. This tiered stand is one of my favorites!

Beddy’s

What more can I say about Beddy’s!? I’ve already indulged about them in my last post so go there to read more about why you need them in your life, but just trust me on this one! Beddy’s need to be your child’s Christmas present! Or your spouses if you hate making your own bed too. The perfect solution to a terribly messy bed. Use code AIMEE20 for 20% off your entire order!

I did research for a while last year to find out w I did research for a while last year to find out which chickens lay these beautiful chocolate brown eggs. I finally discovered that the Marans are the best breed to get. I have Black Marans but they come in a variety including Cuckoo, Silver Cuckoo, Gold Cuckoo, Black Copper, Blue Copper, Splash Copper, Wheaten, Black-Tailed Buff, White, Black, Blue, Splash, Birchen and Columbian.

If you’re thinking of getting chicks this spring and you want some beautiful chocolate brown eggs in the mix I highly recommend! They’re a joy sparker for sure!
I added a little gallery wall over the weekend. I’ve never actually had any wall space to do something like this before in our little house. We just either had doors or windows on all the little walls 😂 And can you see the baseboards! When your husband is doing things himself and already works two busy jobs things just go slower. But we’re saving money and it’s getting done little by little.

I love the artwork I added from the big kids here. Scroll through to see them close up. Warren did the sketch of the fish and Amelia did the embroidered bicycle 🫶🏻
It’s a cold and story first day of February and It’s a cold and story first day of February and this morning the whole property was covered in a dense fog. A nice way to start off the cozy month of February if you ask me!

I’ll just be over here lighting all of my favorite candles in every room. It’s making it smell so good in the house.

These are my favorite candles for ao many reasons!
Nontoxic, 80 hours of burn time, they burn all the way down (they don’t make that hollow cylinder like some candles make down the middle ya know?), lead free cotton wicks, 100% natural soy wax from domestically grown soy beans, premium fragrance oils that won’t give you a headache and aren’t too strong, paraben, paraffin, dye, phthalate and cruelty free.

Just so many reasons to enjoy these candles in your home!

Comment “candles” and I’ll send you a link to them with my discount code!
I found these pretty blue floral plates a while ba I found these pretty blue floral plates a while back and knew exactly where I wanted to hang them. I had never hung a plate before and wanted to do the least damage to my newly painted walls. When I found these hanging discs made in England I bought them right away. I was so excited to try them and they ended up being so easy!

All you do is wet them which activates a glue on the back. Then, adhere them to the back of your plate and let them dry overnight. Once they dry they’re ready to be hung up! If you ever decide you don’t want them hung anymore, just wet the back again and the glue will get released as it softens.

Comment “plate hangers” below and I’ll send you a link to these discs along with a pretty collection of blue plates!
